We Need a Little Holiday/Christmas...NOW!!!

Ok it's hardly the weather to be thinking of that Jolly Fat Man in the RED suit...BUT, it's just too darn HOT outside and all of us at S2G thought ALL OF YOU could use a little something to "COOL" yourselves off...So without further ado let's introduce the S2G Holiday Stamps!

Please join us over the next 3 weeks as our Twisted Thursdays will be all about the Holidays. Each Design Team member is about to get ALL RED, GREEN and JOLLY with all of you! The Design Team will take you on a week by week tour thru the S2G Holiday/Christmas line and share lots and lots of creative projects with you!

Are you ready for the first week of the Holidays/Christmas in July??? Grab your hat and mittens and lets take a stroll in the winter wonderland of Twisted Thursday #1 for Holiday/Christmas in July! As with each Twisted Thursday, we'll give you an incredible sketch along with an added Twist but this time we ask you to think Holiday/Christmas and use a Holiday/Christmas style stamp. No need to worry if you don't have a S2G one, you can still play along and we encourage you to. Read on to see how you can WIN some fun stuff from S2g!Starting July 2nd you can go HERE and download DIGI stamps and papers for your very own Twisted Thursday project! So are your ready to think snow, think jolly and think red/green??!!

Ok, here's the sketch for this week along with the TWIST. The TWIST is to add distressing to your card.

Here's mine as a little inspiration to get you going! I used the S2G stamp called "Not a Creature was Stirring Cat" (SG H9) and some new digi paper from S2G. I distressed the edges of my green layer, the white edges and the red back piece. I love using my distressor! I cut out the star and that cute little can placed them on pop dots to give my card some dimension. I love glitter and sparkle and you can't have the holidays without a little of that so I added some rhinestone stars to add some sparkle and shine! Hope you like it!

Exciting News!

Ok I'm so excited I'm about to jump out of my chair! Last week I submitted a Father's Day card for an open DT position over at The Creative Belli Blog.... and guess what THEY PICKED ME!!!!!!

I'm going to be working with a great group of gals over at The Creative Belli Blog! My official start date is July 1st but I wanted to post a card this week cause I was so excited to get started. The challenge this week is to create something with a patriotic theme. You can use stars, firecrackers, red/white/blue colors, flags and the list can go on and on.

I used one of the new 4th of July digi's from shirleys2girls called Independence Gracie. I just love this little Gracie girl and doesn't she just look so festive in her red/white and blue! I posted this on Sunday before I knew that I had been chosen so hope you don't mind seeing it again.

New DIGI'S from Shirleys2Girls

Well it's Sunday and I've been frantically trying to catch up with my stamping projects. Since my child is the 4-legged kind, we don't really celebrate Fathers Day at my house but we are heading over to my sisters later today for a bbq to wish my Dad a Happy Dads Day!

I just got this new digi image from Shirleys2Girls for 4th of July and boy oh boy is she just too cute! I used her for this weeks Wednesday Card Sketch over at SCS. Hope you like her. Here's my card recipe for her:
