Belli Challenge #83 - Hearts

This weeks Belli Challenge is all about Hearts! I love hearts too! If you've never joined us over at the Belli Challenge then you need to get on over there and check it out. Great inspirations from the Fabulous Design Team!

This Challenge I did a card using a new image from Shirleys2Girls. It's called Zola Sweeps! OMG she is the the most FAB image ever. You need to head over to the store and check out the other Zola images. They all are just amazing!

Here is my card that I did this week. I used basic gray for the base card with some DP from Hobbylobby and real red! She is a digital image and I cut her out using my top note die and I distressed the edges. She's colored using copic markers with cute little hearts in the corner using a heart punch. Lastly I added some gray and red organza ribbon. The sentiment reads..."My idea of housework is to sweep the room...with one glance!" Isn't that just awesome! Hope you enjoyed my card.

Happy New Year and the Belli Challenge

This weeks Belli Challenge is all about Glitter and Rhinestones, MY FAV! But I bet you knew that! LOL! I decided to do something a little different and share this cute little card box that I found over at my friend Jennifer's blog. This was the Project of the Month over at The Cat's Pajama's.

Once you get going they are really easy to make and what a great gift they make. I modified Jenn's original project a little and have the instructions listed below on how I made mine.

For the nuggets...I used Avery Labels (48860) and stamped them with Basic Grey and Pacific Point ink using the Snow Swirled stamp set. Once the labels were stamped I wrapped them around the Hersey nugget. Each plastic box will hold 6 nuggets. I adhered the 6 nuggets to a 3x3 piece of basic gray card stock and inserted into the plastic box. I got the plastic boxes from The Cats Pajamas.

For the inside of the box (or card piece)..I used wrapping paper for my DP and it was cut at 5 3/4 x 2 3/4. I then added a white piece of card stock cut at 5 3/4 x 2 3/4 and used a scalloped punch along the top and bottom edge. I stamped the left side with the snow flakes in pacific point and basic gray and added my sentiment to the right side. I taped both pieces of card stock together and folded in the the center. I taped down one side to box and then taped the other side and place the other box on top of the tape. Now you have your card on the inside.

For the outside of the box...I cut the card stock at 3 1/2 x 12 and then used the same scalloped punch along each edge. I cut the DP (wrapping paper) at 2 1/4 x 12 and adhered it to punched piece. Now you can take your boxes and wrap them with the paper making sure that the tops are even. I scored mine using my fingers to give it a bit of a folded edge. I punched out a 1 3/8 size circle and folder in half on the top to hold the two pieces together. Punched 2 holes through that and inserted my ribbon. Now you have your cover for you box card.

For the front of the box... I used die cut snowflakes that I ordered from Creative Cuts and More. I painted them with white acrylic paint and then once dry painted on some mod-podge and sprinkled with glitter. Oh my they came out so nice! Very Sparkly! I used a crystal glitter but you could use any color. I attached a button with some ribbon to the center and then used glue dots to attach to the front of my outside covering.

I hope that you enjoyed these. You can check out the original instructions HERE. A lot of fun to make and these are definitely a keeper for me. So many different things to do with these cute little boxes for gifts.

So head on over to the Belli Challenge Blog for more great projects!

Merry Tags!

Happy Holidays, Ya'll!  Well we're 2 days from Christmas! OMG can you believe it! This year has just flown by for me.

This weeks Belli challenge is to create a card, scrapbook page or project using tags. OMG...What a cute idea and the perfect timing for me! My friend Holly found this wonderful tag set on SCS so I decided to case it a bit. It's not exactly the same but it's the same concept. Here is where the original idea came from.

I made a tag holder that holds 8 little gift tags. The images are all from shirleys2girls holiday collection. Here is the front of the holder. I made a cute little belly band to hold it closed using a shirleys2girls image called Christmas Jollies. The paper is DP from stampin up that I had and I combined that with baha breeze, real red and old olive. My cute little reindeer was colored using copics. Are you ready to see the inside?

Here is the inside view of the holder itself. I made 8 tags using 4 different images. Now for a close up of the tags.

Here is a close up of the tags. I used from shirleys2girls, Cheers, Fruitcake Angel, Shopping, Mouse Dancing and one that I forgot to photograph called Holiday Penguin.

So what do you think? I just love how this came out. I was going to give this as a gift but I just can't part with it. LOL!

Supplies Used:
Stamps: shirleys2girls digi images
Paper: neenah classic solar white, DP, real red, baha breeze, old olive
Ink:Samsung All-In-One Printer

Accessories: copic markers, MS Snowflake punch, rhinestones, ribbon, circle regular and scallop nestabilities

Now that you've seen my tag holder, you need to head on over to the Belli Challenge Blog to see all the lovely Belli Ladies inspirations! We have a wonderful guest designer this week too. Her name is Brenda Turner and her blog is http://stamp-it-up.blogspot.com/

BRRRRR....Baby It's Cold Out There!

This weeks Belli challenge is to create a card, scrapbook page or project for using Flourishes.

For my card this week I chose a digi image called Star Handler from Squigglefly. This is my first image from Squigglefly and I LOVE snowmen! OMG...He's just the cutest thing ever. Our challenge this week was to use flourishes on our card and boy that was a quite a challenge for me. I didn't quite know what I was going to do but I knew which image and colors that I wanted to use. I found these rhinestone flourishes at Michael's and thought they would be perfect with my little man. I used my ek succcess punch to create snow mounds behind him layered in grey/white/navy. You can't tell from the picture but his star is glittered as well as the ends of his scarf. Do you like him?

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Squigglefly Star Handler Digi Image
Paper: neenah classic solar white 80lb, DP Hobbylobby, navy, razzberry
Ink:Samsung All-In-One Printer

Accessories: copic markers, MS Snowflake punch, rhinestone flourishes, ek success punch

Now that you've seen my card, you need to head on over to the Belli Challenge Blog to see all the lovely Belli Ladies inspirations! Mr Linky lives over there so don't forget to link up your project once you're done.

Belli Challenge #73 - Happy Wednesday!

This weeks Belli challenge is to create a card, scrapbook page or project using applesSmiley from millan.net or pencils Smiley from millan.net for Back to School.

For my project below, I used a stamp set that I purchased last year and hadn't even inked it up yet! For gosh sakes how does that happen! LOL! The set is from Stampendous and is called School for Changito.

I created my little box from scratch and used SU black cs cut at 5 inches by 9 inches. It's scored at 1, 4, 5, 8. I used a fiskars border punch called threading water along the top. The box was assembled using red line tape. I added a band with SU Real Red cs and some DP that I had been hoarding that was perfect for the school theme. The cute little apple was cut out using my cricut and the scissors where made using the SU word window punch and my oval nestabilities. I connected them using a silver brad! Cute, HUH???!!!??? Lastly I made a short little pencil using the word window punch. That little word window punch comes in really handy! LOL! The contents of my teacher box has some shredded crate paper, a set of #2 pencils wrapped with a cute red polka dot ribbon and a large altered paper clip. The paperclip has the same cute little apple on it as well. So......what do you think? I bet any teacher would love to get this as a gift!

Now that you've seen my project, you need to head on over Smiley from millan.netto the Belli Challenge Blog to see all the lovely Belli Ladies inspirations! Don't forget that Mr Linky lives over there so don't forget to link up your project once you're done. We can't wait to see what you come up with. So come on over and play with us this week! Can you hear me shout...IT"S BELLI TIME!

Well it's Wednesday again. Boy they seem to come and go so fast these days! LOL!
This weeks Belli challenge is to create a card, scrapbook page or project using watercolor markers or crayons. You just can't break out those COPICS! Wow I must say what a challenge this was for me. I didn't realize how hooked I was on my copics!
Our sponsor this week is Peachy Keen Stamps. Boy oh boy do they have some really cutie patootie stamps. So you MUST head over there and take a sneaky peaky!

Summer's almost over so I selected a stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps called Natalee (PK-210). I'm almost ready to make the transition to Fall but heck, the weather here in Texas is still in the 100's so it's hard to think Fall/Halloween/Christmas just yet.

My card base is SU Garden Green paired with a doodlebug DP that I adore! I colored in the leaves and flowers to match the colors that I used. Everything is colored with my SU markers (which I had to blow the dust off of since purchasing my copics). LOL! The sentiment is from inkadinkadoo and is stamped on Summer Sun with basic black SU ink. I added some SU black gingham ribbon and placed Natalee on some dimensional dots! Isn't' she just TOO CUTE!??!!

Ok are ya ready to see some more Peachy Keen stamps and water color cards??? Well let's head on over to the Belli Challenge Blog to see all the lovely Belli Ladies inspirations to get your mojo going. We can't wait to see what you come up with. So come and play with us! Don't forget to add your awesome creation to Mr Linky there will be a drawing for a free stamp for one lucky winner! So get over there now!

UPDATE: Kathy over at Peachy Keen Stamps is giving away to one lucky winner (choosen by random.org) a $25 Gift Certificate! So head on over to the Belli Challenge Blog and get your project posted to Mr Linky! He's waiting!

Belli Challenge DAY - It's Wednesday!

Are ya'll ready for another Belli Challenge? I can't hear you...was that a YES!

This weeks Belli challenge is to create a card, scrapbook page or project using wood. Here is a tutorial on SCS for making faux wood. Click here.

For my card below, I used a stamp from shirleys2girls called Cat on the Fence (SG 603). I am such an animal lover and love these stamps!

My card today is a 5X5. I used some delish DP from Bo Bunny and paired that with SU green galore and SU Close to Cocoa. The card base is white neenah classis solar. The DP was sewn onto the close to cocoa and matted on the white. The green galorie I ran through my cuttlebug with the swiss dots embossing folder. I left a little at the end where I could stamp my sentiment. I created my wood frame using the SCS tutorial. I then paper pieced the fence using the same technique. I colored in my image with my copics and cut out my cat and his paws to give him dimension over the fence! Isn't he just too cute!?!

Belli Challenge Wednesday! Head on Over!

It's Wednesday! I love Wednesday's because that means that we are 2 days from Friday! LOL! I really love Wednesday because it's time for the Belli Challenge over at the Creative Belli Challenge Blog!!!

This weeks Belli challenge is to create a card, scrapbook page or project using a metal tag. Here is a tutorial on SCS for making faux metal. Click here.

For my card below, I used 2 different stamps from shirleys2girls. The first one is called Domino's Amusing (SG 55) and the second is called Spring Fever (SG 63).

I used one of the brand spankin' new colors from SU called Crushed Curry. Oh love it love it! I paired it with Lovely Lilac and Black. I used my favorite CB embossing folder Swiss Dots. My image was stamped with memento black on Neenah Classic Solar white CS. I masked Domino to make him look like he's sitting in the flowers. He and his spring bouquet were all colored/blended with copic markers. I added a layer of crushed curry, lovely lilac and black and used some dimension dots to raise my stamped image up. I added a couple of flowers and button along the bottom left side and on the other side is my metal tag holding my sentiment. I love this sentiment. So what do you think?

What's next? Play along, silly!

This weeks Belli challenge is to create a card, scrapbook page or project with some Texture to it, baby! You can use flocking, flower soft or mesh! Whatever gives your card texture!

For my card below, I used a stamp from Stampingbella called Alexis' Bad Hair Day! Isn't she just the cutest everah!?

I used creamy carmel, regal rose and bashful blue cardstock from Stampin' Up!. The DP I've been hoarding so finally decided to break it out! I'm so bad about hoarding my DP! I know shame on me! LOL! The background is embossed with my swiss dots embossing folder and just a touch of close to cocoa along the edges. I broke out my nestabilities circles and scallop circles to add along the side of the image and used one of my fiskars border punches for the scallop trim. Little Ms Alexis is colored with copics with some ivory flower soft around her collar and cuffs on her robe. Oh looks so soft and cuddley! I cut out the bunny slippers and added them on pop dots to give it some dimension. A prima flower with some buttons to match just topped her off! I really love the way she turned out, do you ??!!!
