New DIGI'S from Shirleys2Girls

Well it's Sunday and I've been frantically trying to catch up with my stamping projects. Since my child is the 4-legged kind, we don't really celebrate Fathers Day at my house but we are heading over to my sisters later today for a bbq to wish my Dad a Happy Dads Day!

I just got this new digi image from Shirleys2Girls for 4th of July and boy oh boy is she just too cute! I used her for this weeks Wednesday Card Sketch over at SCS. Hope you like her. Here's my card recipe for her:

Card Recipe:
Stamps:Independence Gracie (DG19)
Paper: SU Brillant Blue, SU Real Real, Neenah Classic Solar White, Digi DP from shirleys2girls.
Ink: Digi Image
Accessories: copic markers, SU Ribbon (real red, navy, white), Heart Rhinestones, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder

Thanks for taking a peak, leave some love if you can and enjoy your Fathers Day with your special men in your life!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Well it's Sunday evening and back to work I go tomorrow. Uggggg...there is never enough time in the weekend to play! LOL!

I just love this cute Riley Man. My dad relaxes in his hammock just like Riley does so I thought this would be an awesome card for him for Fathers Day!

The sketch is from Belli Challenge #67 over at the Creative Belli Blog. My card was created using all SU papers except for the DP. I cut out Riley and the tops of the Palm Trees to add some dimension to my card. It was colored with my copics and I just love how it came out and hope you do to.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Hanna Stamps - Riley Hammock
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Night of Navy and Creamy Carmel
Misc: Dew Drops Colored to Match my Night of Navy, Navy Ribbon, scallop circle nestability

I entered this card for the DT search at Creative Belli Blog and for a Guest Designer Spot over at Hanna Stamps so wish me luck!

I've got some new projects that I'm working on so check back. I should have them posted this week sometime!

Las Vegas Baby - Virtual Stamp Night at SCS

Viva Las Vegas Baby...Over at SCS this past weekend I participated in a Virtual Stamp Night. Totally fun and was the first time I've participated and would do it again! The first challenge was to make a card using the colors from the lobby of The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. The colors we were challenged to use are Yellow/Gold, Burgundy, Blue, and White/Cream. I totally loved these colors together. As a matter of fact, I loved them so much that I'm using this card for my upcoming Dallas Shoebox Swap in May 09. I'll be making 60 of these little guys!

The image was absolutely perfect for the color theme and being in Vegas Baby! The stamped image is from the Ladies with Attitude section called Good Thing (SG502) from shirleys2girls If you haven't had a chance to check them out then you need to hop on over!

I colored the image with my copics and added some bling to her ears for her fancy night out at the Venetian Hotel. I used SU Rose Red, SU Night of Navy, SU Very Vanilla and some DP. Doesn't the DP look like it's wallpaper from the Venetian? I added some organza gold ribbon and some gold brads to finish her off. Enjoy and talk to you again soon!

SFYTT Sketch Challenge

Happy Sunday everyone! Well here is my very first SFYTT Challenge. I combined this sketch along with the theme from my monthly card swap from SCS which was kid's birthday. I used Happy Heart Day from Stampin' Up! and used SU More Mustard, SU Kraft as my card base and SU Certainly Celery along with some DP that I can't remember where I purchased! LOL! The Martha Stewart cupcake punch was perfect for the elephant to hold onto with his trunk. I used my white gel pen to add some sprinkles to the top of the chocolate icing! Yum! Yum!The elephant was cut out and colored using my C1 and C3 gray copics. The background was colored using my stamp pads to create the sky and the grass. I then stamped the flowers and colored them in. I used my 3/4 inch and my 1 inch circle punches to create some color behind my chocolate buttons. Enjoy and have a great week!

SCS Wednesday Sketch Challenge - SCS219

Here is my SCS Wednesday Sketch. I loved this sketch and decided to use one of my shirleys2girls stamps called Cake Baker. This is also going to my monthly stamp swap group. The challenge was to create a card without using a sentiment. I think this little cake baker says it all! I used Neenah solar white for my base card and then layered SU Old Olive and SU Pretty in Pink. I used my CB embossing folders swiss dots to add some texture. I used my Martha Stewart cornice border punch around the triangles. The image is stamped using mememto black since I colored her using my copics. I added some glitter to the candle flames and some liquid applique for the cake icing. YUMMY! It needed something else on the top so I used my sizzix daisies #2 and layers the medium and small flowers on the top and used buttons for their centers.

Sketch Challenge #209

Happy Valentines Day!

Here is my sketch challenge #209 on SCS. I love this stamp set. It's from H&M Stamps. I used Stampin' Up! paper in Regal Rose, Baja Breeze, So Saffron and Neenah Solar Classic White. The DP is Basic Grey. I used the floral fantasy cuttlebug embossing folder in baja breeze. Lots of layers and silver brads. I paper pieced her dress from the same Basic Grey paper as the background and used my copics to color her and my glitter pen on her wings. Isn't she just adorable?
