End of August Twisted Thursday!

Can you believe it's the end of August already??? Kids are back in school and the weather is a bit cooler! YEAH!

It's time for another Twisted Thursday over at the  S2G Challenge blog .

The TWIST this week is to use alphabets on your card/project. 

This week I'm using a new digi called Boy Thank You.  For my base card I used Neenah Classic Solar White with some real red, certainly celery and bashful blue. This week I followed the sketch from my friend Jen's Blog a SFYTT.  I just love this little boy and what teacher wouldn't love to receive this card!

 

 I also created a cute little composition book.

This week over at S2G it's Back to School Month! Ahhhhhh....Remember those days of sending notes back and forth....well this week's TWIST is all about Notebook Paper. Use Notebook paper somewhere on your card and then head on over to the S2G Challenge blog and link up your card to Mr Inlinkz.

For my card I followed the fabulous sketch from my friend Jen's Blog a SFYTT. I used a new punch that I just purchased called boundary waves. That is for my TWIST. The DP that I used is from Shirleys2Girls. Doesn't it match perfectly? I used the bubbles embossing folder for my background. I hope that you enjoy my project this week.

Summer Time over at S2G Twisted Thursday #63

JULY is SUMMERTIME FUN!

We hope that you all enjoyed the Babies and Brides Theme from June...Well we're onto a new month with a Brand Spankin' New Theme...SUMMERTIME FUN! For the month of July over at Shirleys2Girls, we're going to be celebrating summertime fun! Each twist this month will be geared around something that is SUMMERTIME FUN related! This is gonna be a HOT month of FUN!

Ready for the first TWIST of the month??? Your twist this week to play along with us is to.... USE SOMETHING THAT SPARKLES! Can't you just picture your toes dipping into that sparkling blue water! ahhhhh how fabulous would that be!

This week I'm using my sparkles for 4th of July! I found this little awesome All-In-Box over at Splitcoaststampers and made a card to go with it. This little box is the most adorable little thing and is soooo easy to make. I used 2 different images from shirleys2girls Independence Dog and Let Freedom Ring. I used Brilliant Blue, Real Red and Neenah Classic Solar white for my card stock. For my card I followed the fabulous sketch from my friend Jen's Blog a SFYTT. My sparkles are the adorable little rhinestone stars. I used 2 of my embossing folders, Stars and Swiss Dots. My image was colored with copic markers and the dp is from shirleys2girls digi paper selections. I hope that you enjoy my projects this week.

Blushing Brides Week!

Can you believe that Monday was the first day of summer??? I don't know about ya'll but summer here in Texas started a month ago. WOW we've been having 100 degree days and it's just plain HOT! LOL! Well enough of my whining over the hot weather.

Well are you ready to see my creation for the Twisted Thursday Challenge this week? I so enjoyed working on this. When I first saw them, I thought OMG I'll never get this completed, but low and behold I finished one and just LOVE IT! What a FABULOUS gift for that special bride or friend. It's called a Stationery Box. I found the tutorial over at SCS if you want the deets on how to make this.  I used some DP that I had that was hidden away. LOL. I used 2 different images from Shirleys2Girls this week. One on my regular size card called A BRIDES PRESENTS and one for the small 3x3 note card called DOVES. I am just so excited on how this came out that I'll be making more of these for gifts. Below are my pics...

I just love the color PINK!

This week over at shirleys2girls it's TWISTED THURSDAY CHALLENGE time.

For my card this week I used a digi stamp from shirleys2girls called 'Announcement with Heart". What a great way to announce that little special one that has just arrived. I used a diaper fold and attached it to my card.  My card is 5x5 and I used chocolate chip, certainly celery and some DP that I got at hobbylobby. It's official! It's June!

My Hero! My Dad! Twisted Thursday Challenge #58

Goodness I can't believe how the weeks are just flying by. Are you ready for another Twisted Thursday over at Shirleys2Girls. I know I am because they have some NEW masculine images that you are just going to LOVE! OMG! The Girls have out done themselves once again. If you haven't seen them then you need to run not walk over to the store and check them out. What man in your life wouldn't want something special made with these images.

Today is my dad's 67th birthday so I thought that this image and card was perfect for him! Dad, we love you and sending you lots of hugs and kisses!

I colored my image with copics and used brillant blue and certainly celery as my cardstock colors. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Spring Time....

Sorry I've not posted in a few weeks and I hope that everyone enjoyed their trip to PARIS!  I wish I could have gone but  I've got a lot going on in my family right now and have not been able to make any cards for the last couple of weeks.  I was able to sneak in an hour or so to play this week.

I just realized that we're on Twisted Thursday Challenge #53!?! My how time flies. I've been working with those fabulous ladies over at S2G, Deidre and Kristine, for a whole year and I've LOVED every minute of it!

This week over at Shirleys2Girls we're working on some warm spring things. The fabulous twist is to use FLOWERS on your card or project this week.

For my card this week I followed the sketch over at SFYTT (Sketch For You To Try).  I used a digi stamp from shirleys2girls called Bee-lieve. I just love all of their little critter stamps. I pulled out some old DP that I had stashed and printed my digi's out on neenah classic solar white. I LOVE that paper. April Fool's Day and Twisted Thursday #50

YEAH! Are ya'll ready for some WARM spring weather? Well finally here in Texas we got it. It's been in the 80's this week. WOO HOO! I have to share a little story with ya'll ...I went out to get the mail yesterday and noticed that our yard was in desperate need of some weed pulling. I though OH MY where did all of that come from! Ok maybe I want some cold weather back! LOL!!!

Anywhoo...this week over at Shirleys2Girls we're doing some fun stuff for April Fool's Day! The Twist over there is ANYTHING GOES this week. The girls created this awesome new digi of DOMINO one of the fab dogs in their collection just for today. It's called Domino and his HATS! Man that dog can wear some hats! LOL!


Here is my card for this week using that crazy wild dog DOMINO. This set comes with 4-5 different hats that you can have DOMINO wear! Since it's April Fool's Day I chose this fun and funky hat for him! He's lounging in the grass (notice no weeds there LOL!) enjoying his sunny day! Hope you enjoy my card.

Bring on the SPRING....NO MORE SNOW

Ok... I'm about done with WINTER! OMG we had another 6 inches of snow this past Sunday. We've had 4 really BIG snow storms here in TEXAS. What the heck is going on??? I"m so ready for Tulips and SPRINGTIME!

Ok enough of my whining...LOL! We've got a fun challenge for you this week over at Shirleys2Girls. The Twisted Thursday Challenge this week is to use BUTTONS on your card or project. I love pinks/blacks/greens together so I found some fun DP in my staff and matched my solids to it. I used a cute little bunny from over at Shirleys2girls Webstore called BUNNY HOP! I cut him out and popped him up over my circle. I used one of the cuttlebug embossing folders that matched my DP perfectly! I then added my button with some white thread to dress them up a bit. Spring in the AIR!

I don't know about you guys but I am so ready for some spring weather. This cold is just for the birds! LOL!

This week I've got a beautiful Flower Pot card to share with you along with the Twisted Thursday Challenge over at Shirleys2Girls.

Ready for my Flower Pot card???? The tutorial came from Stephanie Luman so you can check it out. What a great Mothers Day or anyday card for that special person in your life! I just love how mine came out. Easy to make too. I used an image called Easter Bonnet from Shirleys2Girls. This is such a fun image to color! I broke out my cricut to cut all of my flowers in lime green, lavender, orange and white.  The fun thing about this card is that the flower piece pulls out for a card.

Wanna See A Princess S2G Style????

We're in the last week of S2G Birthday Month! We hope that you all had a great time celebrating with us!

I'm going to get right to the good stuff sooooo are you ready for this weeks Twisted Thursday Challenge??? We're gonna make it a crazy easy Challenge this week. There is not a sketch this week. I know you're disappointed but instead we're giving you a WILD LADIES with ATTITUDE TWIST. Ready....All you have to do is post to Mr Linky over at the Shirleys2Girls Challenge blog a project/card using HOT PINK! OMG how fun is that color to close out the Birthday month with.

I'm sharing an absolutely FUN and FABULOUS Princess Crowns using Hot Pink/Lime/Orange color combos. You can find the template for the crown over at the Challenge blog. You are more than welcome to use the template to play along but you don't have to. We just want to see your FAB work using HOT PINK!

Ok there is a little story behind this. The girls over at shirleys2girls wanted to close out the week with something different so they designed this awesome crown template and sent it to us. One of the DT members posted her crown with her cute little dog wearing it so we all followed suite. LOL! They are all so cute and fun so please don't forget to head over to the challenge blog to view them all. OMG you will just fall in LOVE! Here is my lovely little girl wearing her Bright Pink Princess Crown. I used some awesome doodlebug glitter paper for the scallop circles on top, the hearts are covered with glitter and the P is from shirleys2girls Happy Birthday Banner and has some small rhinestones added. The fab dp paper of the crown is shirleys2girls digi dp. If you haven't seen their dp's OMG you need to go and check it out. Last thing I did was put a ribbon through and added some boa for that frilly girly look! LOL! Isn't she just such a PRINCESS??!!!

S2G Birthday Bash Continues...Shaker Style!

Happy Thursday Everyone! One more day til TGIF! Did you ALL enjoy the wonderful Birthday Bash Blog Hop???!!! Well I have to say that I certainly did. What awesome work from the S2G DT's!

We're celebrating the WHOLE month of February for S2G's 1 year birthday! It's been soooo much fun so far. Are you ready for another fun Birthday Challenge??? This week we're challenging you a bit different. We've got a TWIST and that is to use CONFETTI and we would love for you to use that confetti in a SHAKER CARD! I will be honest, I was hesitant at first since I've never made one and have always admired those that did. They look so fabulous and fun but really hard to make. Well I'm  here to tell you that it really wasn't that scary to make. LOL! Took me just a few minutes longer once I figured out what I wanted to make which for me is the longest part! LOL!

Here is my shaker card. I used a new Birthday Image called Party Favor and Border. Love this set since you can use it for soooooo many things. I picked the Princess Crown. One of our DT members LOVES her Tiara's (LOL!) so I made this just for her! She's not been feeling well lately and thought this may cheer her up a bit! I used some of the new yummy DP digi paper from S2G and bordered that with my MS loop border punch. I just love this punch! Then I added some pink organza ribbon for that girly look! My shaker part was made using the flower nestability. I cut the frame out using 2 of the sizes and then used the larger one to cut out my acetate for the front. Then I cut some foam mounting tape to go all around the edge of the flower. I set that aside and started working on my image. I colored the crown with copics and popped up the diamonds, the heart and added rhinestones. I used the flower nestability to cut out my image so that it would fit perfectly with the frame. Then I added my glitter (was supposed to be confetti so we'll just pretend that it's confetti-LOL) and placed very carefully the image onto the foam tape! VIOLA! A shaker card. OMG I was so excited once I got this finished. I was dancing around shouting "I DID IT" "I DID IT"! ROFL! My dog and DH thought I had lost my mind! What do you think? I really like how it came out! It's ALL about Birthdays!

Welcome to S2G's Twisted Thursday Challenge and guess what it's S2G's 1 year birthday! I'm so excited to be able to celebrate with them! You will be in amazed at the FABULOUS new images that girls over at S2G will be releasing next week! Yum...there will be lots of cakes, party hats, furry animals and and balloons! Everything you need to have a fabulous birthday party!
