Been gone for a while....Thank you for your support!

I want to take a minute to say THANK YOU to everyone for all of their support over the past few months and the many cards that I have received. My dad had been fighting cancer and on May 1st lost his battle with this ugly disease and I will miss him very much. My dad will forever be in my heart! I love you, DAD!

My mom is doing ok and my sister and I are there to support her. She is one strong woman and is the best nurse EVER! She took care of my dad for the entire time he was ill and she is my hero! She is an amazing woman and I want to say that I love you, MOM!

We're all trying to get back to some type of normal life which is really hard. This is the first card that I've made in over a month so I hope that you enjoy it.  It's another Twisted Thursday Challenge over at shirleys2girls and the twist this week is to use your FAVORITE COLOR on your card or project. Sounds pretty easy, huh? so no excuses for not playing along with us this week.

For my card this week I used a digi stamp from shirleys2girls called 'ONCE'. There are several images in this series of Ladies with Attitude and I'm sure that you will love them all. I love this color combination of grey blue/rose pink. I used some cute little flowers that I got at Michaels and then put a paper flower underneath for an accent. I hope that you enjoy my card this week and hope to get back in the swing of things soon.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Spring Time....

Sorry I've not posted in a few weeks and I hope that everyone enjoyed their trip to PARIS!  I wish I could have gone but  I've got a lot going on in my family right now and have not been able to make any cards for the last couple of weeks.  I was able to sneak in an hour or so to play this week.

I just realized that we're on Twisted Thursday Challenge #53!?! My how time flies. I've been working with those fabulous ladies over at S2G, Deidre and Kristine, for a whole year and I've LOVED every minute of it!

This week over at Shirleys2Girls we're working on some warm spring things. The fabulous twist is to use FLOWERS on your card or project this week.

For my card this week I followed the sketch over at SFYTT (Sketch For You To Try).  I used a digi stamp from shirleys2girls called Bee-lieve. I just love all of their little critter stamps. I pulled out some old DP that I had stashed and printed my digi's out on neenah classic solar white. I LOVE that paper. April Fool's Day and Twisted Thursday #50

YEAH! Are ya'll ready for some WARM spring weather? Well finally here in Texas we got it. It's been in the 80's this week. WOO HOO! I have to share a little story with ya'll ...I went out to get the mail yesterday and noticed that our yard was in desperate need of some weed pulling. I though OH MY where did all of that come from! Ok maybe I want some cold weather back! LOL!!!

Anywhoo...this week over at Shirleys2Girls we're doing some fun stuff for April Fool's Day! The Twist over there is ANYTHING GOES this week. The girls created this awesome new digi of DOMINO one of the fab dogs in their collection just for today. It's called Domino and his HATS! Man that dog can wear some hats! LOL!


Here is my card for this week using that crazy wild dog DOMINO. This set comes with 4-5 different hats that you can have DOMINO wear! Since it's April Fool's Day I chose this fun and funky hat for him! He's lounging in the grass (notice no weeds there LOL!) enjoying his sunny day! Hope you enjoy my card.

Bring on the SPRING....NO MORE SNOW

Ok... I'm about done with WINTER! OMG we had another 6 inches of snow this past Sunday. We've had 4 really BIG snow storms here in TEXAS. What the heck is going on??? I"m so ready for Tulips and SPRINGTIME!

Ok enough of my whining...LOL! We've got a fun challenge for you this week over at Shirleys2Girls. The Twisted Thursday Challenge this week is to use BUTTONS on your card or project. Here is my card for this week. I'm also playing along with the Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at SCS.  That is where my sketch came from. I love pinks/blacks/greens together so I found some fun DP in my staff and matched my solids to it. I used a cute little bunny from over at Shirleys2girls Webstore called BUNNY HOP! I cut him out and popped him up over my circle. I used one of the cuttlebug embossing folders that matched my DP perfectly! I then added my button with some white thread to dress them up a bit. I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Spring in the AIR!

I don't know about you guys but I am so ready for some spring weather. This cold is just for the birds! LOL!

This week I've got a beautiful Flower Pot card to share with you along with the Twisted Thursday Challenge over at Shirleys2Girls.

Ready for my Flower Pot card???? The tutorial came from Stephanie Luman so you can check it out. What a great Mothers Day or anyday card for that special person in your life! I just love how mine came out. Easy to make too. I used an image called Easter Bonnet from Shirleys2Girls. This is such a fun image to color! I broke out my cricut to cut all of my flowers in lime green, lavender, orange and white.  The fun thing about this card is that the flower piece pulls out for a card.

Twisted Thursday #46 - Did someone say FREE DIGI???

I will be showing you my project using the QUEEN of HEARTS. I love this image. So much you can do with her. I decided to make a card along with a cute little crown box to use as a gift holder. I used some yummy DP by S2G along with a new MS punch that I found at Michael's with a 50% off coupon. How fab is that! It's a princess crown punch. As soon as I saw it I knew this was one for my collection. It goes so well with my Queen of Hearts don't you think???
