Welcome to another challenge. A friend on splitcoaststampers introduced me to shirley's2girls stamps a few weeks ago and I've fallen in love with their stamps. They posted on their blog a new challenge called "Go Green". Well I could not resist so I started putting my creative juices into overdrive. I knew which stamp set that I wanted to use so I started there. I asked my DH what he thought about go green and he mentioned a house so there started my creation. First I went to search for images of brick that would be small enough to make my box look like a portion of house. First time out I found exactly what I was looking for. I pasted all my little bricks together and created an 8.5x11 sheet. Went down to my local kinkos to have it printed since I wanted something of better quality than my own printer would put out. The guy at kinkos looked at me funny and said "this is a funny thing to print". Well I said I'm creating a house out of paper and this is my start. He laughed and I can home with my 6 sheets of brick (5 extra in case I messed up). LOL! I built my house box and then stamped my image. I picked my DP for the chair and paper pieced it and then added flocking to my cute little doggie to make him fluffy. Cut him out and placed him back in the chair using my dimensionals. I then cut the size that I needed for my window opening and cut out my frame. I used my cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder for the wall and covered it in my garden green ink using a cotton ball. I used a cute dog bone charm to add a picture in the top frame of the window. Now onto the curtains. I used my oval punch and my white gel pen to create the curtains in the window frame. Then I place my chair and dog on the background and used dimensionals to raise my window frame on top of him. I had to double stack it to give it enough room. Outlined my frame with a black sharpie and voila a completed window! Now onto the inside. I love the sentiment that goes with this so I covered the inside with my garden green card stock and used a magnetic snap to close my box. I had so much fun creating this and my DH even added some advice! He's such a good guy! LOL!
