WOW - IT'S TWISTED THURSDAY!

Wow this past week went by really fast! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Memorial Holiday! Well are you ready for this week's Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday Challenge???!!! I know that I am! WOO HOO!

The "twist" this week is to create your card using a Monochromatic Color scheme to the sketch below!

Here is my fun birthday celebration card! I used the Penguin Dancing (SG H22) stamp from shirleys2girls. This little penguin is in the Holiday stamp section for New Years but I thought he would be really cute for a Birthday card. I used SU So Saffron, SU Black and some DP that I had that matched my colors perfectly! Go figure! I used my sizzix to cut out the stars that match the DP and the nestie rectangle scallop for my borders. My little cute penguin is stamped using memento black and I cut him out so he really looks like he's dancing for his party! I added some black brads to the top for the streamers.

Let the party begin....Isn't he just too fun??!!

Sharing another Hobby of mine

As some of you may know, I have a craft booth with my mom at a place in McKinney,Texas called McKinney Trade Days. We're, well I should say my mom( LOL) is there once a month for 3 days. I had to cut down my time out there since my full time job was getting in the way! LOL! My mom LOVES going out there to chit chat with EVERYONE and sell our crafts. Crafts is one thing that my mom and I have in common. She does really cute girly signs, bottle cap and domino jewerly and I do embroidery baby items and cards. We both embroider water bottle koozies and make some cute memory boards. I shared a while back the water bottle koozies that we do and I thought I would share some really cute burp cloths that I just finished for a friend of mine.

Enjoy and I'll share more cards and stuff this weekend!

Have a safe Memorial Day!

It's that time....Twisted Thursday is Here!

Ready for another AWESOME Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday sketch challenge! Well here it is and hope that you enjoy it.
The "twist" this week is to create a 4x4 size card to the sketch below! I have to confess that this is the first 4x4 card that I've ever done! WOW...it was soooo much fun! I'll be making more of these size cards.
Here is my fun and elegant card! I used the Bride (SG 151) stamp from shirleys2girls. I love this elegant little bride! My 4x4 base card is Neenah Classis Solar White, layered with SU black and some beautiful Pink DP that I've been holding onto. I used my nestie scallop circle and regular circle to add some dimension to the background in SU black. I stamped my little bride in memento black and cut her out and layered her on top of the circles. I added some crystal effects and dazzling diamonds to her veil and the top of her dress. WOW does she sparkle or what??!!Her bouquet and flowers were cut out and colored with copics. For that last final touch, I added a double layer of flowers with a touch of sparkle in the center. I acutally colored the pink flower with my copic marker so that it would match. If you haven't tried this before, you should. WOW...opens up a world of color with just a small little white flower.

Isn't she just too pretty for words!?!

Guess What??? It's Twisted Thursday!

It’s Thursday and you know what that means…Another fun Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday sketch challenge! This week's great sketch was created by Pat Dadisman, S2G Design Team member extraordinaire! Thanks, Pat!!

The "twist" this week is to ADD SCALLOPS.
Sounds like fun, huh?!

Of course I had to use my Chanel Blames (SG 58) stamp since I have such a love for dogs! I picked my doodlebug DP called white divine and colored in the flowers to match my SU pink passion cs. I paired the white divine with some DP with cute doggie sayings. I broke out my scallop circle nestabilities to layer my "twist" scallops. To give the scallops a little lift I used some dimensional dots to raise it from the card. Little Miss Attitude, Chanel, was stamped on solar white neenah classic cs. She's outlined using my copic C-1 and I used liquid applique as her fur! I cut out her fur pieces and put those on dimensional dots as well to just make her pop off the card! Doesn't she look like you just want to reach out and pet her??!! Last but not least, I added some prima flowers with black rhinestone flowers and a brad in the center. Viola! Finished! What do you think?

I hope you like her! Now down to business, Are you ready to play??? Need some additional inspiration to really get your creative mojo going, well go and check out the links below to our FABULOUS DT members! BLOG HOP - YIPPPEEEEE

I'm so excited to announce and welcome you to the first ever Shirley's 2 girls Blog Hop! Today Shirley’s 2 Girls is releasing 15 of the cutest new images you’ve ever seen!! They are all cute cute cute baby and mother stamps just in time for Mother's Day!

If you didn't start at Ladies With Attitude Blog, you'll want to hop back over there so you don't miss anything along the way and get the deets on how to win an awesome Grand Prize! There's some great stuff to see and you don't want to miss a thing. If you arrived here from Justine’s blog, then you’re in the right place!!!

Since I have such a passion for animals and especially dogs, I had to do my first project for the blog hop using Puppy Love (SG 76). Isn't this the cutest stamp EVER!

I stamped the image on neenah classic solar white cs, distressed the edges and sponged some SU Pretty in Pink ink around the edges. I used SU Pretty in Pink CS and my scallop rectangle nestability to add a border around my cute little puppy love! I added some DP on my base card which is SU Barely Banana CS and did some stitching around the edge. I just started sewing on my cards and if you haven't tried it yet, oh boy you need to! It adds so much! My last final touch was to add some shimmery ribbon on each side of my image.

I couldn't resist putting this cute little image on a onsie. I colored and scanned my image. I then printed it out using Avery (3302) Stretchable Fabric Transfers. The cute little box was made from a tutorial that I found on Splitcoaststampers.

And before you go - I've got another card to share with you using the new "Mother Knows Best" (SG 68) stamp - This stamp was perfect for my little boy card. I used a template for a card called a Tri Shutter card which I got from craftiblog. I stamped the image using neenah classic solar white and colored using my copics. The DP has a wonderful shimmer and I paired it up with SU Certainly Celery and SU Bashful Blue. I layered my Tri Shutter card with the DP and then added ribbon, buttons and a few cute little charms! Doesn't this just scream "Little Boy"! I added sentiments to the back panel. I love this yummy little card!

These 2 new stamps along with 13 more are being release today over at Shirleys 2 Girls. Lots and Lots of new stuff for you to check out!! Remember to be eligible for that awesome Grand Prize, please leave a comment here on my blog, and I hope that you've enjoyed this stop on the hop.

Now it's time for you to hop on over to Jackie's place - and I know she's got some YUMMY YUMMY eye candy to share with you!!

See ya next time and Rubber Hugs!
